WOBURN, Mass. – Arborjet reminds graduating high school seniors that the deadline for its “Taking Root” Scholarship Program is approaching, and all applications must be postmarked by June 30. Students who are planning to pursue a career in arboriculture and plan on full-time studies in a related subject at either a two-year or four-year accredited college are encouraged to apply.
“The ‘Taking Root’ College Scholarship Program was such a success last year that we are extremely excited to offer it to students entering our exciting field of arboriculture and tree care again this year as well,” said Russ Davis, president and COO of Arborjet.
Ten graduating high school seniors will each receive a $1,000 scholarship to pursue full-time studies in forestry, plant sciences, horticulture, entomology, environmental science or a related major.
Applicants for Arborjet’s 2015 “Taking Root” Scholarship Program must be graduating U.S. high school seniors who plan to major in a forestry course of study or related major for the entire 2015-16 academic year at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university.
